Radical Love

35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. – Luke 6:35

Father in Heaven, You have shown us how to love by giving us Your only Son. You have shown patience, faithfulness, and forgiveness to us who do not deserve such kind of mercy. Teach us O Lord how to love radically, beyond the norm, and extraordinarily. Rid us of our sinful nature, our selfishness and our apathy.

By Your grace Lord, may we be able to love others with the overflowing love we experience every day coming from You. Yours is the glory, honor, might and power in Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Peace & Serenity

Father in heaven, we are in awe of Your greatness and of Your mercy.  We need Your guidance in every step that we take.  We don’t want to depend on our own knowledge not even on our own strength but on Your wisdom Lord.  Thank You for Jesus Christ and for His teachings on how to live a life with meaning.  A life that glorifies Your name.

The world is in chaos.  Earthquakes, pestilence, corruption, immorality, famine… are everywhere.   But despite of all that, You have given us, Your people, peace.  Knowing that You are in control make us wake up each morning with gratitude and joy in our hearts.  Psalms 46:10 says “Be still and know that I am God”, is a gentle reminder that we have to focus on You and not on what is happening around us.  Thank You God.  In the might name of Jesus Christ, we pray.  Amen.

The Reason For This Season Is JESUS

Heavenly Father, help us to focus on the real reason for this holiday season. It’s not about the gifts we get, or the gifts we give, it’s not even the food we prepare or the family reunions.  — It is all about Jesus Christ, Your Son, who came here on earth to save all sinners who believe in Him. May we always talk about Him and the sacrifice that He made for us.

Thank You Lord. Thank You for Your amazing grace and Your great mercy.  In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

Prayer for Protection Against Calamities

Heavenly Father, we ask You to protect our family, our home, and our neighborhood from any calamity or natural disaster that may come our way.  Shield us with Your mighty hand.  We also pray for those grieving families in Sulawesi, Indonesia whose loved ones were washed away by the tsunami and  were killed by the earthquake.

Have mercy upon us Lord and forgive us from all our trespasses.  Let not Your anger fall on us.  We seek Your grace.  In Jesus name we pray.  Amen.

God is our refuge and strength,
    an ever-present help in trouble.

The Power of God’s Love

Father in Heaven, thank You for the salvation through Christ Jesus.  May we always remember that this is the kind of love we need to give to others.  I pray that the power of the Holy Spirit give me boldness and selflessness to show others the grace, forgiveness and mercy You have showed me for this is the real meaning of love.  I am eternally grateful dear God.
