18 In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out. –¬†Ephesians 6:18

LORD, I come to You humbly and admit that I have not been as much as an encourager as I should be. At times I see the negative and don’t really notice the positive quality or qualities of certain people. Please forgive me and cleanse me of my every wrong thinking or attitude in this regard. Please pardon me for being judgmental at times. Help me to be more balanced and wise in my observations. There are so many people today who are discouraged. Help me to lift them up with encouraging words and actions. Remind me to give to others what I also so often need and desire: affirmation, appreciation, encouragement…and love- YOUR Love.

I ask for the grace to make this a reality in my daily habit of life and relationships, for I ask it in the Name of Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing. – 1 Thessalonians 5:11
