3.6.TemptationToAvoid_160664411

13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. -James 1:13-18 NIV

Heavenly Father, I ask for strength, strength to flee from any kind of temptation, away from the alluring things the world offers.  May I see every temptation as an opportunity to prove that the enemy is wrong, and that I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.  Thank you for giving me discernment to know what is good from evil, to know that if I give in to temptation, the satisfaction will only last a moment but the consequences will last lifetime. Thank you for your protection LORD. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

will-of-god

It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; – 1 Thessalonians 4:3 NIV

LORD, I surrender my life to You. Teach me how to walk according to Your ways, to avoid anything that might defile my body which is the temple of the Holy Spirit. I pray that my thoughts, speech, and action give You glory. I know that I am responsible for my words and my actions Lord, that it gives a ripple effect to anyone who hears anything I say, who sees what I do. For some people, I am their only Bible because they don’t study nor read Your scriptures.  Protect me dear Lord from the schemes of the evil one. I long to walk with You, to follow You and to please You all the days of my life. May Your will be done and not mine. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

reflection

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will. – Romans 12:2

Father in Heaven, You are my refuge and my strength. You are always faithful even if at times I am not. Forgive me LORD for not giving enough effort to spend time with You. I have been busy with a lot of things and I never paused to thank You for the continuous blessings that You are giving me. Please give me discernment that I may see what really matters in life and that I will focus on these things, things that matters to You.

I entrust my family, my work, my life to You and only to You dear God. I need Your loving guidance. Use me for Your glory. All these I pray in the powerful name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who lives and reigns forever. Amen.
