And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4 – KJV

Heavenly Father, I thank you for your unfailing love, for the renewed mercies each day, and for the countless blessings YOU have given me.  YOU alone are worthy of  praise, honor and glory.  YOU are my refuge and my strength, who carries me when I fall, who comforts me when I am down, and who wipes away all my tears in times of great sorrow.  YOU hold me by my right hand.

Dear GOD, YOU see my heart and know my thoughts.  Nothing is hidden from YOU.  I am grieving, my heart is not at peace. Life’s pressure seems so overwhelming. The challenges of life surrounds me and it feels like I am all  alone carrying these burdens.  Thank YOU for reminding me that my Redeemer and Lord Jesus Christ is always with me in happiness, in sorrow, and in pain. Thank YOU for the gift of peace.  I surrender my life to YOU.  All this I pray in Jesus mighty name. AMEN.

LORD, I come to You humbly and admit that I have not been as much as an encourager as I should be. At times I see the negative and don’t really notice the positive quality or qualities of certain people. Please forgive me and cleanse me of my every wrong thinking or attitude in this regard. Please pardon me for being judgmental at times. Help me to be more balanced and wise in my observations. There are so many people today who are discouraged. Help me to lift them up with encouraging words and actions. Remind me to give to others what I also so often need and desire: affirmation, appreciation, encouragement…and love- YOUR Love.

I ask for the grace to make this a reality in my daily habit of life and relationships, for I ask it in the Name of Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing. – 1 Thessalonians 5:11
